In April 2026, INPOLIT once again partnered in organising the International Children's Environmental Art Competition, "The Future of Our Planet Is in Our Hands!"
The competition was organised through the joint efforts of the National Library of Ukraine for Children; Olena Kryvoruchkina, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine and Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management; the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine; the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine; the Podil District State Administration of Kyiv; the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine (OSCE SPU); the National Union of Artists of Ukraine; the Kyiv Municipal League NGO; Mykola Tomenko's "Native Country" Foundation; the Magdeburg Rights Municipal Reform Foundation NGO; INPOLIT; and the Nadiya Charitable Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of Children's Librarians.
Each year, the competition attracts more young participants, and we are delighted to see its reach continue to grow. Children from across Ukraine and around the world are using art to express their ideas about nature, sustainability, and the importance of protecting our environment. Their creativity demonstrates not only remarkable talent, but also a growing awareness of today's environmental challenges and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference.
For the INPOLIT team, the growing number of participants is especially encouraging. It shows that environmental education and awareness-raising initiatives are making a real impact, helping to nurture a generation that is more environmentally conscious, responsible, and ready to take action for a sustainable future.
We invite our readers to explore the winning artworks via the following link!
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our partners for their continued collaboration and support. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to every young participant, as well as to their parents and teachers, whose enthusiasm and creativity make this initiative possible. Together, we are helping inspire the next generation to care for our planet and build a greener, more sustainable future.
