Presentation of the Green Recovery Platform to Territorial Communities in Kryvorizkyi District, Dnipropetrovsk Region

The Green Recovery Platform for Ukraine was established during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-International) on June 11–12, 2024, where representatives from the OECD, UNECE, UNEP, and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment announced its launch. This initiative aims to support Ukraine’s sustainable recovery and environmental restoration efforts.

As part of this effort, our NGO, in collaboration with youth organizations from the Kryvorizkyi district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, organized a presentation for local communities on the platform’s objectives and potential benefits. The session provided territorial communities with insights into how they can engage with the initiative and leverage its resources.

During the discussion, representatives from the Novopil, Hrechanypodivska, Nyvotrudivska, and Sofiyivska territorial communities raised various concerns and proposals. Based on these discussions, a set of identified needs and recommendations was compiled, which will be submitted to UNEP for further consideration. Additionally, some issues may be addressed with support from UNICEF Ukraine.

This collaborative initiative marks an important step towards achieving sustainable recovery and environmental restoration in Ukraine.
